My mum actually said to me :
"You are girl. What for you study so much? Like my cousin, she study till so high. In the end, also waste her money stay at home be housewife. So what is the point. Guys study higher nevermind cause must suppot family member ma! "
I was staring at her for like 5 seconds before I could utter a word. They are just old fashion..

.:: Mood ::. Weak yet Firm
I need to walk out of this. With all the set backs that I am having, I presume God is testing me. Perhaps he thinks that it is not the right time for me to do the right thing that I reckon will be. I tried so many ways, given time and time blinks of hope. However, time and time I am drawn back to square one. It is like bringing you to heaven for that mere milliseconds and bringing you back to reality for good. Still I am not going to give up till very last breath I could take.
Be strong and this is what I have been telling myself. It is time to learn to be independent. People who knows me well enough knows that I am weak in many aspect and they will walk all over me! They will take advantage of me knowing my weakness and they will hit my weakness in one shot. Bingo~! Happy as they may be and there I am trying to pick myself up pieces by pieces. Every time they may break me apart, I become stronger. So in way I must THANKS those who has been a part of my life, be it happy, sadness, anger or bitterness.
Of cause there are friends who will be there for me when I am in my most fragile state but still I am the only one whom I can make myself, ME! I may present a happy side in front of you but deep down there are too many things in my mind which is bringing me down.
Too many.. .. .. .. and the deadline is so near that I am going breathless. *inhaling hard*

Yes sadness is filled in me. Extreme pain and a failure of the decision that I have made.
It is heart-breaking to know that even your own kin is not able to help you. At this moment of time, they even doubt your trust and stay in their own shell not giving a hand to help. What more can I say.. What more? *tears flowing down in my heart - It's having a downfall*
Hate myself for the impulse decision. Without a good plan, I am now stuck at my current spot.
Do I move forward heading to a road with darkness or do I stay at the current spot and find a new road?
What should I do? HELP!!!!!!

After a good long weekend, I am finally back to my working desk.
Things is starting to change in the coming months. Two major events that will change my life style and embark to a new future for me are as follow!
1. I will tender my Resignation Letter tomorrow and my last working day in EDS is 16 Jun 2006.
2. I will be a full-time student in SIM as of July 2006 pursuing a Bachelor in Business Management specializing in Human Resource Management.
Congrats to myself!!! Hahaa...
I receive the confirmation package from SIM last Saturday night and I was smiling to myself all the way. At the same time, a tinge of sadness and fear was in me.
Sadness, is due to the fact that I am going to leave my colleagues and my comfort zone which I have been for the past 1 year 8 months. Boo Hoo Hoo.. They took good care of me and have provided great guidance which allowed me to gained experiences and to be the "Valerie" I am today. Thanks to my TEAM! Love ya guys and gals...
Fear, is perhaps due to the fact that I am going to be a low "income kid" once again. Joyce's favourite quote.... Hee! Of cause I will still find a part time job to keep up with the expenses that I have and I will not get pocket money from my parents. Talking about that, I cant seem to remember when was the last time I took pocket money from my parents. It has been a ages.. Perhaps the last time was in Secondary 4? HmMm..
Alright shall blog about the happenings over the long weekend in the next entry?? Hee!

It's the Polling Day today. (^^)
A lot of people have been waiting for this day to arrive but I am still at home sitting right in front of the computer blogging away without having the least intention to get away from my seat to get ready to proceed to Admiralty Secondary School to vote. My parents had actually went without me as they reckon that I needed some rest since I slept so late and so they set off at 10am when I was still in la la land. Haa.. Oink!
I have not been updating on some of the recent events for the past few weeks. Shall brief through some events as I would like to keep a record of what has happened. =) Shall not go into too much detail if not everyone will fall asleep at the end of the entry. Hee!

20 Apr (Thurs) - Union Square Outing with the Salsalicous Gang!
We have recently set up a Yahoo Group! This is getting more fun.. I am loving it~!
22 Apr (Sat) - Burn the Floor Performance
All thanks to Zac who gave me the Free tickets to BURN THE FLOOR! Smile.. It was indeed a nice performance. All the dancers are darn beautiful and suave. Drooling.. Haha!
Had totally enjoyed myself though it was a one hour show for us!
23 Apr (Sun) - Educational Tour @ Technological Farm, Qian Hu Fish Farm and Farmart
It was a day filled with touristy feeling. Emily, our friend and I were having a tour at the Technological Farm where all the greenies seems so fresh and juicy, Qian HU Fish Farm and Farmart.
The urge of plucking one of the greenies and put in your mouth was so high. Haha!

26 Apr (Wed) - JP Morgon Corporate 5.6KM Run
Oh man it has been a long long long.. time since I ran such a long distance. This JP Morgon run is an annual event held by corporate companies and this year I decided to have a feel of being part of them. It was my first time to run with so many people. A different kind of exposures though. I went with Edmund and Eric but during the run, I was the only one running as both of them had ran so fast and blink.. they are gone!
Edmund was the first to reach our tent under my company, EDS International. He hit a good 30 mins timing for a 5.6KM run. Thumbs up! Still he was not satisfied.. Oh well~
The tired me wearing the JPMorgon t-shirt.
And my leg was aching like hell the following day... *pout*
28 Apr (Fri) - Dinner Meet up with Cindy, Joey & Ada
It has been a while since we met up with Joey and Cindy for a dine out and I suggested Carls Junior for dinner since all of us have never tried it before. Oh man.. This is my first time dining at CJ and I was quite shock to see the huge portion of food! It shouldn't be called Junior, instead it be called Giant! Haa..

29 Apr (Sat) - Movie with Mike and Dinner at Lingzhi's birthday chalet
I went and watch the movie, The Art of Seduction. It is a Korean movie and definitely a hilarious one as I laugh from the start till the end. In fact, how I got to know the presence of this movie is from my MUM. *Surprise? Hee.. My aunt was the one who went and watched it with my cousin and she fell in love with this movie and insisted that my mum to watch it with her the second time! Hahaa.. So my mum was telling me how funny it is and I decided to trust her! =)

I head down to Pasir Ris Downtown East chalet after the movie and shopping at Far East, where I bought a white shorts and a crown shape necklace~ Love it!
Over there, it was the usual gang and plus lots of Lingzhi's friends and relative as it was her 21st Birthday. You can see her running everywhere trying to welcome people. Sometimes I wonder, shouldn't the birthday girl be enjoying rather than running about everywhere and tired themselves out? Oh well.. It's our choice right?
Anyhow it was also Junrong's birthday too and we gave him a bun with matchsticks on it treating it as a birthday cake! Funny~

30 Apr - BBQ at Alfred's house and chill out at Ada's house
This is the day man! Fun and laughter was filled in the air. Every one played a part in this BBQ and it was really enjoyable. Now I cant wait for the next coming event on the coming Thursday where we will bunk out at George's place.
We had crash courses for Rueda, Funk, Bachata, Salsa and etc... I totally dance till I drop as the place was damn hot! *sweat*

4 & 5 May - Multiple Events!
On the night of 4 May, I was at Union Square with the usual Salsalicious gang dancing away until my legs got blister. Still I did not give up and headed to MOS to meet Amanda and Lisa~ HOoo HAhaahHA... Thursday night in MOS is R&B at the main arena and we were dancing non-stop till the club close. Phew... *Totally Drained*
Woke up at 2+pm and wash up to meet Amanda and Lisa for shopping but apparently we only manage to meet up at 4+pm to head to Far East and sadly I had to leave them at 6pm to join my colleagues for a dinner at East Coast Seafood Centre. So I did not manage to grab anything..
So I went back to the office to meet up with my colleagues and we headed down in different cabs to the Seafood Centre - JUMBO Restaurant. The food there is still alright, nevertheless I still miss the crab at the Plum Beach Restaurant! Yummilious...

Ended my day at 4am.. And now I am going to get ready to head to the Polling Centre!

How sotong can I get?
I was sitting at my desk this morning and Ada turn to me and ask me a question :
"Did you help me fax my time sheet to Recruit Express ? "
The look on my face stunned! (O,O) and I mumbled a "No...."
Last last week, she had past me her time sheet on one of our meet up during her study leave. Her instruction to me was to pass the time sheet to Sally for her signature and return the time sheet to her. It didn't occur to me that I have to fax the time sheet to the recruitment agency! Stupid me.. I really follow her instruction without thinking that she requires me to do the norm of faxing it over. Haiz... Now she has missed a payroll cycle! *Val super guilty*
Just the start of the day and I am having such things.. Having mood swing some more! Arghhh...
Anyway today is my last working for this week as I am going to take a day off tomorrow to meet up with the girls, Amanda & Lisa. =)
It has been awhile since we have a full day to each other. Guess the last time round was when we went to Tioman back in Mid Jun! That's so long le...
Anyway got to proceed back to my work! ;p
Hopefully things will be better for the rest of the day~
